Tim Evans, construction and maintenance project lead for Pearrygin, Conconully and Curlew state parks, excavates a 12-foot wide channel where Pearrygin Creek will flow under the road into Pearrygin Lake State Park’s now-closed west campground. The creek, which has been flowing over the road since the massive debris flow in 2011, will be back in its chosen channel by the end of October, Evans said.
