The Liberty Bell High School varsity girls’ volleyball team dropped two abbreviated games to strong teams from Brewster and Okanogan at the Okanogan Jamboree last Saturday (Sept. 6).
The two former 1A Caribou Trail League schools made their debut as part of the new Central Washington B League North Division lineup this season.
The Lady Lions, coached by Tim Boonstra with help from assistant coach and former LBHS volleyball standout Amber Reggiatore, played shortened games against the Bears and Bulldogs and gave the coaches an opportunity to see how some of their new prospects performed in a varsity venue.
Liberty Bell will host Lake Roosevelt in its home league opener on Thursday (Sept. 11). Next week the Lady Lions will travel to non-league Soap Lake on Monday (Sept. 15), and will be at Tonasket for their second league game on Tuesday (Sept. 16).
