Women who lost their homes in the Carlton Complex Fire or the ensuing floods and mudslides may receive new designer clothing courtesy of the Heart of CAbi (Carol Anderson by Invitation) Foundation.
On Saturday (Sept. 13) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Cindy Oliver, CAbi consultant and co-owner of the Three Bears Inn in Winthrop, will host a clothing giveaway at the inn with 1,000 articles of new women’s clothing donated by the Heart of CAbi Foundation, a branch of the clothing company.
Oliver worked with Room One and the Cascade Bible Church to identify the names of individuals who have been displaced by the recent disasters. Contacts from the communities of Malott and Pateros have also provided Oliver with a list of names. Those who are unsure about whether they or someone they know qualifies for the clothing giveaway should contact Oliver at (509) 885-0705.
The clothing is “business casual” according to Oliver, and CAbi consultants from around the state will be at the event to assist women in finding items in their sizes from 0 to 16.
The newly opened Three Bears Inn is located at 414 Riverside Ave. in Winthrop, near the east end of the trestle bridge.
