The 39th annual Winthrop Vintage Wheels show will once again put on a display of classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, travel trailers, pedal cars and bicycles on Sept. 6. All of the wheeled conveyances are, ironically perhaps, within easy walking distance of each other at the free event.

The cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles will be on Riverside Avenue; travel trailers will be up the hill at Pine Near RV Park on Castle Avenue; tractors will be across the street from the RV park at the Shafer Museum.

It all begins at 8 a.m. with a line-up of the antique vehicles, followed by a parade at 11 a.m.

There will be an awards presentation at 3 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for best in show and the public can vote on the People’s Choice award.

There will be a street dance on Riverside Avenue from 4:30 – 9 p.m. featuring the music of Horse Crazy, The Packstring Band and the Wild Turkey Band in a fire victim fundraiser.

For more information, including how to register your vehicle for the show, visit www.winthropwashington.com and click on area events.
