Rehearsals for the Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus (OVOC) fall season begin next week.
Both groups will rehearse on Tuesday (Sept. 2) at the Omak High School band and music rooms. The orchestra will begin at 6:30 p.m. under the direction of Don Pearce and the chorus will begin at 7:15 p.m. under the direction of Jonathan McBride.
The orchestra will then meet weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. The chorus will meet weekly on Mondays at 7:15 p.m. In the event that Monday is a holiday, the chorus will meet on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. All rehearsals will be held at Omak High School.
The groups kick off their season with a concert on Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. The Christmas concert will be on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m.; the family concert on Feb. 8, 2015, at 3 p.m.; and the spring concert on March 22, 2015, at 3 p.m. All OVOC concerts are held at the Omak Performing Arts Center.
