OKANOGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Aug. 18

MISSING PERSON: Caller on Twisp-Carlton Road reported a 29-year-old man had said he was going to hitchhike to Renton, and had not been heard from.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Suspicious activity was reported on Dancing Bear Road, Carlton.

TRESPASSING: Three individuals were reported to be at the Wagner Memorial Pool in Twisp and appeared to be casing the area.

Aug. 19

ABANDONED VEHICLE: A car was reported to be “parked oddly” at Lodge Lane and Wolf Creek Road, Winthrop, for the previous six days.

INJURY ACCIDENT: A motorcyclist hit a deer on East Chewuch Road, Winthrop.

ILLEGAL BURNING: Illegal burning was reported on Twisp-Winthrop Eastside Road.

THEFT: A rifle was reported to have been taken from a location on Burgar Street, Twisp.

Aug. 20

BURGLAR ALARM: A burglar alarm was reported on West Chewuch Road, Winthrop.

CHECK ON PERSONAL WELFARE: A request was made to check on the personal welfare of a person living on Castle Avenue, Winthrop.

CHECK ON PERSONAL WELFARE: A request was made to check on the personal welfare of a person on Gold Creek Ranch Road, Carlton.

Aug. 21

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: A caller on Twisp-Carlton Road reported that two employees had left about 36 hours previously and had not been heard from.

UTILITY PROBLEM: A power line was reported to have fallen across West Second Avenue, Twisp.

MUDSLIDE: A mudslide was reported on Highway 20 near Twisp.

MUDSLIDE: It was reported that a vehicle on Benson Creek Road near Twisp had been washed off the roadway.

MUDSLIDE: Caller on Highway 153 near Twisp reported that her driveway had washed away and her power was out, and that she needed assistance to leave.

MUDSLIDE: Mudslides were reported to be affecting homes on Windy Ridge Road, Twisp.

Aug. 22

NOISE COMPLAINT: Caller on Burton Street, Twisp, reported that people in a nearby residence were making a lot of noise.

Aug. 23

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: It was reported that fences had been cut and a vehicle left at property on Benson Creek Road, Twisp.

ASSAULT: Caller on Twisp Avenue, Twisp, reported that a former roommate pushed the caller and threatened him.

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported at a location on Left Fork Wolf Creek Road, Winthrop.

Aug. 24

FIRE: A wildlands fire was reported on Twisp-Winthrop Eastside Road.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY: It was reported that a woman was trapped under her horse near Airport Heights Road, Winthrop.

TWISP POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Aug. 21

DRUGS: There was a report of drugs at a location on Magers Street.
HARASSMENT: A harassment incident was reported at a business on Glover Street.

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported on Burgar Street.

FOUND PROPERTY: Found property was reported on Rising Eagle Road between Twisp and Winthrop.

Aug. 22

INTOXICATION: It was reported that an apparently intoxicated man was wandering around on Riverside Avenue.

UNSECURE PREMISES: An unsecured building was reported at South Methow Valley Highway and East Fourth Avenue.

Aug. 23

DISABLED VEHICLE: A disabled or abandoned vehicle was reported on North Methow Valley Highway.

Aug. 24

THREATENING ACTIVITIES: A person was taken into custody on Riverside Avenue, Winthrop, on suspicion of malicious mischief and disorderly conduct.

CIVIL ISSUE: Caller on West Twisp Avenue said he was being prevented from getting some of his belongings from a residence.

WINTHROP MARSHAL’S OFFICE

Aug. 18

DISPUTE: A caller at his workplace on Highway 20 reported that he was being harassed about something that happened at the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival.

Aug. 23

INJURED ANIMAL: It was reported that a wild turkey was struck by a vehicle on White Avenue.

ACCIDENT: A person reported a hit-and-run accident but was not sure if it happened in Mazama or Winthrop.
