Joan Marie (North) Jensen

Joan Marie (North) Jensen, 67, of Carlton, passed away at her home on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014. Born Aug. 15, 1946, to Lavern and Mary North, she was sister to Sharon, Johnny and Sabina. Wife of Charles R. Jensen, mother of Sara, Alex and Jenny. She was Gramma Joanie to Rhiannon, Michaela, Jamie, Katie, Loan, Kassandra and Savanna and Great Gramma Joanie to Noah.

She loved and taught all she met and opened her door and home to any in need. Her heart was big and tender, her courage grew to the very last day. She did things in her own way. She loved all crafts, sewing and arts. She had a true eye for beauty and nature. She loved a dry martini and a good time. Her laugh was as big as her little companion, Laci, was small.

She was known for her green thumb. Her flowers were amazing and abundant. She built a simple life with the man of her dreams, full of family, love and home. She will be so greatly missed by so many and so greatly embraced by those who have gone on before. She worked hard for many years packing apples and working for the postal service. She made essential oils, potpourris, painted, sculpted, sewed and welded. She always had cats, dogs and koi goldfish. She raised chickens, pigs, cows, horses and enjoyed life. She will forever be in our hearts and memories.
