Celestial Cinema screens 3 films
Celestial Cinema returns with three evenings of films under the stars at Spring Creek Ranch in Winthrop on Aug. 21 – 23.
Babe will be shown on Thursday, Grease on Friday, and Frozen on Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults; kids under 10 get in free.

MountainFilm on Tour coming
MountainFilm on Tour, select films from the 2014 Telluride MountainFilm Festival, will be in Winthrop for a showing in Mack Lloyd Park on Aug. 23. The gate opens at 7 p.m.; the films start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids 18 and under, and may be purchased at the event or online at squareup.com/market/north-cascades-mtn-hostel.

Meet artists at Winthrop Gallery
Winthrop Gallery will host a free reception for the artists represented in its new exhibit, “Inside and outside,” on Aug. 23 from 5-7 p.m. Artists Laura Aspenwall (blown glass), Michael Caldwell (oil paintings) and Marcy Stamper (photography) will be on hand to talk about their latest work.
