The Town of Twisp has received a $24,000 Community Development Block Grant for a water system plan update.
Twisp is one of 17 rural towns and counties in Washington to receive a grant to fund planning and feasibility studies for new or improved water and wastewater systems, community centers, food banks, and fire safety facilities across the state.
The state program receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide grants to small cities and rural counties for activities that benefit lower income people.
