The Methow Singletrack Solstice mountain biking festival begins Friday (June 20) and will continue through Sunday at various locations in the valley. The event will be headquartered at the Winthrop Ice & Sports Rink.
The bike festival will offer challenging rides (including a couple of transportation-supported, point-to-point options), socializing, and other events.
Cost for those 18 and over is $40 without transportation or $70 with a transportation-supported option. Kids 17 and under can participate for free, or for $30 with a transportation-supported option.
The event kicks off on Friday with registration, check-in and socializing at the rink from 6– 8 p.m. Saturday activities will include registration beginning at 7 a.m., transportation-supported point-to-point rides, and self-guided rides in the morning and early afternoon.
Saturday afternoon continues with a mountain bike skills area, Singletrack Solstice Snapshot photo contest judging and awards, and raffles. Sunday will feature opportunities for another self-guided ride.
