June 12, 2014 by Methow Valley News

An article in the June 4 Methow Valley News about an appeal by the Methow Valley Citizens’ Council and Conservation Northwest of Okanogan County’s environmental analysis of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) proposal said that the two groups had successfully sued the county in the past about a similar issue. The groups filed a lawsuit last year saying the county was required to do an environmental review before allowing ATVs to use more county roads. The case did not proceed to court because the county commissioners rescinded the two ordinances and agreed to do an environmental review on a revised proposal.
