June 11, 2014 by Methow Valley News

UPDATED 6/12/14

Twisp resident Rory Williams, a Brewster police officer and former Winthrop deputy marshal, was injured Tuesday morning (June 10) when the vehicle he was driving hit a deer on Highway 153 about a mile south of Carlton, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Williams, 30, was driving northbound at about 4:45 a.m. when his 2007 Subaru Impreza hit a deer in the roadway, according to the State Patrol. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch, the report said.

Williams was taken by ambulance to Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster. A hospital spokesperson said that Williams has been discharged. The State Patrol report said that Williams was wearing a seatbelt and that no drugs or alcohol were involved.
