By 11 students of Methow Valley Elementary School

Today (June 6) at Methow Valley Elementary School 11 third, fourth and fifth grade students learned about journalism from Don Nelson, Darla Hussey and Mike Maltais, all from the Methow Valley News.

The students were: Avery, Jackson, Zane, Dalynn, Wyatt, Conner, Zyan, Ari, Alex, Eli and Kai.

Darla took many photos of the students learning about journalism.

“We learned about journalism and what it is,” said Avery. “We also learned about how to write and edit stories, and how it used to be done in the olden days.”

“We learned about how to write sports journalism,” said Zane.

“We learned how to make newspapers,” said Conner.

This story was written on deadline in Mrs. Stevie’s classroom, then posted to the Methow Valley News website.
