Motorcyclist injured on Highway 20

June 3, 2014 by Methow Valley News

A Sedro-Woolley man was injured Tuesday morning (June 3) when his motorcycle crashed on Highway 20 about 10 miles east of Twisp, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Darrell L. Katarzy, 67, was alone on his motorcycle heading eastbound at about 8:45 a.m. when the bike left the roadway as Katarzy attempted to negotiate a curve, the State Patrol said. Katarzy attempted to re-enter the roadway but the motorcycle hit a guardrail and Katarzy, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown free, according to the report.

Katarzy was taken by ambulance to Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak. According to the State Patrol, he may be cited for driving with wheels off the roadway.
