Produce vouchers for seniors
Low-income seniors in Okanogan County may qualify for the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program administered by Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington. Seniors at least 60 years old can apply for $40 worth of vouchers to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables and honey at approved farmers markets and farm stores.
Applicants must attend one of the voucher distribution sessions and show ID. Income must be under $1,799 a month for a single-person household, or under $2,425 for a two-person household.
The Methow Valley distribution session is on June 13 at the Senior Center in Twisp, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. For more information, call (509) 886-0700.
