Heidi Ott maneuvered her pig onto the scale, assisted by John Sorg, lower right, who was preparing to weigh the pig. Most of the pigs, which are about 2 months old, weigh between 40 and 55 pounds. They have to be between 225 and 290 pounds to qualify for the fair. Photo by Marcy Stamper
