A rebuilding White Swan boys’ team that lost over half-a-dozen seniors to graduation last year was no match for the Liberty Bell High School varsity boys’ tennis team at Ephrata last Thursday (May 1) — but neither was Lake Roosevelt last Friday (May 2).
The Mountain Lions, led by undefeated singles player Carlos Perez, shut out both the Cougars and Raiders, 5-0, in their final league matches of the season.

The Mountain Lions host Okanogan on Tuesday (May 13) at 4 p.m.
Liberty Bell will travel to the 1B/2B league playoffs at Ephrata on May 17. The top three from B competition advance to the Caribou Trail League 1A playoffs at Cascade-Leavenworth and Cashmere.
“Normally, the league playoffs are one day and over but they will take place over several days this season,” coach Dave Schulz said.
