Start studying: Trivia Night is coming

April 9, 2014 by Methow Valley News

The Methow Valley Public School Funding Alliance’s annual Trivia Night fundraiser will be on April 28 at the Twisp River Pub, with doors opening at 5 p.m. for social time and dinner and the intense competition beginning at 6 p.m. Participants compete in teams of four in three rounds of written questions about a wide range of topics including literature, geography, history, math, science, art, music, pop culture and Methow Valley history. The two highest-scoring teams then compete in fast-paced oral rounds against Liberty Bell High School’s award-winning Knowledge Bowl team.

Leverett Hubbard, Liberty Bell’s Knowledge Bowl coach, hosts the competition. Awards will be given to the first-, second- and third-place teams.

Entry fees are $120 per adult team, $80 for a school staff team and $60 for a Liberty Bell student team. Entry fees include a pasta dinner catered by Stewart Dietz and one free beverage for each team member.

Early registration deadline is April 22; after that the fee increases to $150 for an adult team. Registrations will be accepted until noon on April 25. To register, visit methowvalleypsfa.org/trivia_night.html. Call (509) 341-4664 for more information.

Spectators are welcome with a $20 donation at the door, which includes dinner and answer forms so spectators can play along during the competition.
