Licensed aesthetician Leslie Lanthorn has expanded the services and products of her skin care studio, Nectar, and renamed it Nectar Skin Bar.

The new facility has moved into a sunny storefront at the north end of Winthrop, where customers can sample and purchase a range of health and beauty products and receive spa treatments from Lanthorn or one of her four licensed associates.

“We’re here to bring healthy beauty products and great services to the valley,” Lanthorn said. “My goal is to carry high-quality products that people haven’t been able to find here. We want to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere — less intimidating than some day spas.”

Nectar Skin Bar has a fresh, contemporary feel with its clean white interior punctuated by orange accents. The 800-square-foot space includes private rooms for facials and massage, a nail-care alcove, and a retail area. All business functions are coordinated by office manager Dana Stromberger.

Massage therapy services are provided by Arijana Moon and Beau Bourn; manicures, pedicures and makeup application by Jessica da Costa; and aestheticians Heidi Sullivan and Lanthorn do facial treatments. Waxing and tinting services are also available.

In the new space on the boardwalk, Lanthorn hopes to have better exposure to tourists and walk-in visitors. “I’m excited to be involved in rejuvenating this end of town,” she said, looking forward to the reopening of business neighbor Aspen Grove, as well as a wine retailer expected to open later in the month.

Nectar Skin Bar will join with Aspen Grove for a dual grand opening celebration on Sunday (April 6) from 3 – 6 p.m. There will be refreshments, door prizes and drawings for services and products.

Nectar Skin Bar is located at 134 Riverside Ave., Suite C. The phone number is 996-2417. The business may also be found on Facebook at Nectar Skin-Bar.
