Plans and decorations for the Ladies Tea have filled many hours lately. Photos will memorialize the event for you and your loved ones, free of charge thanks to Kiwanis. We have lovely props for those desiring a vintage look. There will be live music from primo pianist Michael Blackledge. Don’t forget the desserts and sandwiches. It will be fun for mothers/daughters/grandmothers to share this time together. Put April 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on your event calendar right now.
Mary Neely is ailing and could use encouragement. She is absolutely, hands down, one of the greatest ladies we know. Give her a call or a card.
Spring clothing and do-dads for the April 12 Spring Sale fill the locked room. The Spring Sprites are putting in overtime getting everything ready for your shopping pleasure! Not being a Spring Sprite, I am not allowed in the room because no one gave me the secret handshake or a decoder ring. Sigh. I am on pins and needles waiting for the preview! These sales are ever so much fun.
Polish your high-heeled sneakers for dancing on April 4.
We rent out the Senior Center as a wonderful venue for your group’s special happenings. Call to set a date.
Hope your tax returns are finished. Don’t know why they call them “returns” as you will receive little in return. Should call them Money-Not-Seen-Again Forms. I find the Paperwork Reduction Act interesting. When helping Mom with Veterans Administration benefits, I received four separate letters in one day: two saying they were reviewing her claim amid many, one check for money owed her, and one letter saying she would soon receive said check for back benefits. What was it like before the Reduction Act?
