Winthrop’s Kelsey Dickinson shot a clean round and placed 22nd among 47 racers in the 7.5-kilometer sprint last Saturday during competition in the Biathlon World Junior Championships held at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle, Maine. Dickinson, now attending the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., finished the course in 23 minutes, 22.5 seconds, 2:17 behind winner Evgenia Pavlova of Russia, the only other woman to shoot a clean race. In the 10K pursuit held Monday (March 3), Dickinson had three misses in the course of compiling her 38th-place time of 40:34.3. Competition continues through Friday (March 7).
