Four candidates for the job of Three Rivers Hospital chief executive officer have been selected for phone interviews next week.
The Brewster hospital is seeking a new CEO after Bud Hufnagel announced in January that he would resign in April.
The candidates will be interviewed by a hiring committee during a special meeting of the hospital board on March 11 starting at 7 a.m. at the hospital.
Board chair Vicki Orford said the candidates’ names will not be made public before or during the phone interviews, unless candidates give permission to release their identities. Orford said the candidates will be addressed by the first letter of their first name during the interview.
The phone interviews will be open to the public, but the interviews will be conducted by Orford, said Rebecca Meadows, hospital spokesman.
Following the interviews, the hiring committee will meet in executive session. The board will then announce up to three candidates who will be invited to visit the hospital. Meadows said the hospital hopes to have a new CEO on the job by the second week of April.
