Three permits issued by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife through a cougar management removal program in the Methow Valley allow hunters holding the permits to take one cougar per permit. This would equal a total of three cougars removed under the program in the Methow Valley. An article in last week’s Methow Valley News (Feb. 19, 2014) may have inadvertently given the impression that each permit allows three cougars to be killed.
