Sandra Miller passed away at her home in Spokane on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. She was born Sept. 26, 1939, in Twisp to Clarence and Clemency Magers.
Sandra and her family moved to Alaska for several years before moving back to the Methow Valley, where she graduated from Twisp High School in 1957. Her family and friends will remember Sandra for her love and caring for them, her ready laughter and sense of fun. Sandra enjoyed a career with the Spokesman Review as a bookkeeper. She was a devoted student, continuing her life-long interest in education by attending many different college courses throughout her life. She volunteered as a reading mentor for young children.
Sandra is survived by her daughters Melany Hovda (Keith), Libby Lindquist (Dean) and Marcy Romans; grandchildren Nathan and Nick Romans, Darron and Arron Lindquist, Nyssa and Kegan Hovda; great-grandchildren Unity Lindquist, Izabella and Henry Romans; sister Sherrie Hendrix and brother Michael Magers; as well as step-siblings and many cousins.
At Sandra’s request there will be no services. Donations can be made to the Methow Valley Community Center, the Rheumatoid Foundation or the Lung Association.
