’49er Days seeking Junior Royalty applicants for 2014

February 12, 2014 by Methow Valley News

The ’49er Days committee is seeking applicants for the Junior Royalty that will represent the annual event. High school juniors and seniors may pick up an application at the Liberty Bell High School office. The forms are due by Feb. 25th.

The 2014 ’49er Days celebration is scheduled for May 9 – 11. The event, now in its 69th year, was started by the Winthrop Athletic Association in the 1940s.

Junior representatives’ duties include talking to service organizations, doing interviews with local media, and encouraging business and individuals to participate. For more information, call Linda Wilson at 996-2675.
