The Winthrop Winter Classic hockey tournament, featuring six youth teams from around the region, will be held Friday through Sunday (Jan. 24 – 26) at the Winthrop Ice & Sports Rink.
Up to 400 visitors are expected for the tournament, according to organizers.
Because of the tournament, public skating times are limited during the weekend. Tournament games are scheduled all day Friday, except for adult hockey from 2:30 – 4:15 p.m. The tournament will take the ice all day Saturday except for public open skating from
noon – 2 p.m., and adult hockey from 8 – 9:30 p.m. The tournament will finish Sunday morning and public skating will be open from
noon – 2:30 p.m.
