
Leon (Bud) Lehman, 99, of Winthrop, passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2013, at Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster. Bud was born July 6, 1914, at Patterson, Calif., to Bertie and A.C. Lehman. He moved to the Methow Valley when he was just 2 months old.
Bud graduated from Twisp High School. He played the tuba in the Twisp Town Band, just like his father did.
He farmed and raised cattle in the Methow Valley on the Twisp-Winthrop East County Road until he retired in 1980.
His one hobby was guns and hunting, which he enjoyed very much until the day he passed away.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday (Jan. 4) at 11:30 a.m. at the Beaver Creek Cemetery, followed by a lunch at the Methow Valley United Methodist Church.
