Cecil L. Dupey, 82, a former Methow Valley resident, passed away Dec. 24, 2013, in Mount Vernon, Wash.
Cecil was born to Frank and Lillie McGuire Dupey, lived in Milan, and graduated from Deer Park High School with the class of 1952. He served in the Korean War, graduated from Eastern Washington University, attended the University of Washington, and taught school at Orcas Island and Sedro Woolley, Wash. He lived and worked in the Methow Valley before returning to Sedro Woolley.
Cecil was a gifted musician and composer; he enjoyed nothing more than sharing his music.
Cecil is survived locally by his son, Steven Edward Dupey. He also leaves his daughters Hazel Ann and Lois Jean; a brother Ronald Dupey (Margie) of Coeur d`Alene; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his former wife, Jeannette Zimmerer Dupey of Deer Park.
He was pre-deceased by his parents; two brothers, Milo and Richard; and three sisters, Ruth, Marie and Doris.
