The Liberty Bell High School varsity cross-country team has announced post-season awards on the heels of a fifth-place finish at the 1B/2B state championships in Pasco on Nov. 9.
Team captain and senior Liam Daily received the Best Sportsmanship award. Daily, a six-year veteran of the team, led the Mountain Lions at Pasco with a sixth-place overall finish.
His fellow runners voted senior Morgan Ott, a three-year veteran of the varsity, Best Teammate. Senior Erik Ellis, in his first year as on the team, was the recipient of the Most Improved award. Junior Josiah Klemmeck, another first-year competitor, received the Coach’s Award.
Senior Lilly Schlotzhauer, a three-year cross-country veteran, was awarded the Bryce Court Inspirational Award.
Craig Herlihy, with help from assistant Erik Brooks, coached this year’s team.
