The Methow Conservancy will host a series of community focus groups from Mazama to Methow in early December, designed to generate discussion about what citizens hope for the future of the Methow Valley and the role of the Conservancy in that future.
The sessions are open to the public and all are invited. The Conservancy will offer dessert and good conversation at the free events:
• Dec. 2 at the Mazama Community Club,
6:30-8 p.m.
• Dec. 3 at the Methow Valley Senior Center in Twisp, 6:30-8 p.m.
• Dec. 4 at the Community School in Winthrop, 6:30-8 p.m.
• Dec. 5 at the Methow Community Club in the town of Methow, 6:30-8 p.m.
Executive Director Jason Paulsen said results from the focus groups will be used by the Conservancy’s board of directors to help shape future programs.
“We hosted similar focus groups in 2006 and we used the feedback we heard to ensure that our programs and projects reflect the community’s vision,” Paulsen said. “It’s time to update our data.”
