The Methow Valley Ski Swap is making a return appearance to the Winthrop Barn on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.
North Cascades Mountain Guides, in partnership with Winthrop Mountain Sports, Goat’s Beard Mountain Supply, Methow Valley Ski School and Methow Cycle and Sport, is bringing the ski swap back to the Barn in an effort to raise funds for the Methow Valley Nordic Team.
“The format will be a bit different this year than in years past,” said Larry Goldie, co-owner of North Cascades Mountain Guides. “There will be a $2 entrance fee to come in and shop [kids can attend for free], and if you are selling anything, you will be given a spot to set up your goods.”
“In true swap fashion, you will stay with your goods, talk to folks and negotiate the sales,” Goldie added.
Fifteen percent of sales – based on the honor system – will cover the Barn rental and additional profits will go to the Methow Valley Nordic Team.
“So keep track of what you sell and then settle up when you are ready to leave,” Goldie said.
