Getting the winter grime off your rig will soon be more efficient at Pacific Pride Car Wash on Highway 20 in Twisp, where owner Clay King said he will install dryers as the final stage of the washing process. King, who also owns and operates Cascade King’s tire and exhaust store, said the dryers will prevent cars and trucks from quickly freezing over on especially cold days. King also noted that he recently changed the soaps and other chemicals used in the car wash to more environmentally friendly products. “There are no ozone-depleting products and no formaldehyde,” King said. The new products come in concentrated form rather than in 30-gallon drums, he said, so handling and storage are easier.
