Ballots due by Election Day

October 31, 2013 by Methow Valley News

Mail-in ballots for the Nov. 5 general election must be postmarked by Election Day. The Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, at 149 Third Ave. N. in Okanogan, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and on Election Day from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Voters can drop off voted ballots, obtain replacement ballots, or take advantage of disability access voting units. The county has three drop boxes for ballots, which will be open until 8 p.m. on Election Day: at the Tonasket City Hall/Library Complex, next to the Omak Police Station, and in the Pateros Mall. Mailed ballots must have sufficient first class postage (46 cents). Ballots must be signed when they are returned. For more information, contact the Auditor’s Office at (509) 422-7240.
