One smart dummy

October 24, 2013 by Methow Valley News

AeroMethowEyes on the digital readout, Ruth Payne, left, Theresa Remsberg and Vikki Buzzard of Aero Methow Rescue and Glenn Ostrem of Laerdal Medical perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on two Resusci Anne manikins at Aero Methow’s training room. The valley’s EMS provider recently purchased a second CPR manikin and a wireless feedback simulator with a grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington. The manikins give immediate feedback on the depth and rate of chest compressions, hand position and release, and the volume of ventilations. “It’s great to give valuable instant feedback to trainees,” said Buzzard.
