Historical society meets

The Okanogan County Historical Society will hold its annual membership meeting on Saturday (Oct. 19) at the Malott Grange Hall from 10-11 a.m., followed by a potluck luncheon and featured speaker author Nancy (Camille) Cole, who will talk about her narrative nonfiction book The Brass Bell, which is the life story of her great aunt Marion Parsons. Flea market at the Barn

Buy or sell all kinds of intriguing items at the Winthrop Barn’s Flea Market and Vintage Sale this Saturday (Oct. 19) from 9 a.m.-3p.m. The event is free to the public and will feature garage sale items, antiques and crafts. Food will be available for purchase.

Vendor tables are still available for $10. Vendors will be able to set up on Friday evening. For more information, call 996-3581.

 

Ballots go out this week

Ballots in Okanogan County will go out by mail on Wednesday this week for arrival by Friday (Oct. 18) for the Nov. 5 general election.

Oct. 28 is the last day for in-person registration in order to vote in the general election.

Military and overseas ballots were mailed in September.
