New manager for propane company
Tracy McCabe has been named manager of Okanogan County Energy Inc., the propane company operated by the Okanogan County Electric Co-op, replacing long-time manager Lynn Miller who is retiring this month.
McCabe is a native of Twisp and graduate of Liberty Bell High School. She earned a degree in business management at Eastern Washington University. She has worked for the propane company for three years.
Valley resident Tom Lovette also has been hired by the propane company, and will make deliveries.

Small business owners and nonprofit organizations are invited to an information session about the federal Affordable Care Act on Nov. 5 at the Twisp Valley Grange, from 2-3 p.m. The session will be facilitated by Room One, the Twisp-based nonprofit social services agency, and will focus on health insurance options and strategies. New bookkeeping business
Sandra Strieby, who has operated Mosaic Planning Studio in Twisp for the past four years, has added another business: Dollar Watch Bookkeeping.
Strieby said she is available to do general bookkeeping for businesses, nonprofits and individuals. She notes that she’s not an accountant so cannot provide tax advice.
Strieby, who named her company after Dollar Watch Mountain, is offering an introductory rate for new clients.
