METHOW VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT NOTICE TO FILE DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY FOR ELECTION OR DISTRICT DIRECTOR. Notice is hereby given that an election of the MVID will be held. The District will elect one member to the Board of Directors to serve for a three (3) year term commencing Jan. 7, 2014. Any qualified elector of the District interested in becoming a candidate must be sponsored by ten qualified electors of the District whose signatures appear on a petition that will show his/her intentions of becoming a candidate for Directorship. Petition blanks may be obtained from the District Secretary at 509-997-2318.
These signed petitions must be filed with the Secretary of said District no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013. Should the Secretary receive only one signed petition for the position under the amended State Irrigation Statute an election will not be necessary. /s/ B. Morgan.

Notice of Public Hearing. Notice is hereby given that a special public hearing will be held pursuant to RCW 70.44.060(6) on the 28th day of October, 2013, for the purpose of receiving public comment on the 2014 Budget for Three Rivers Hospital. A copy of the budget is available by contacting Administrative Assistant Lesley Moore in Room 205 at Hillcrest House. Any interested person may present their comments orally at the time of the public hearing. The hearing shall be held in the Hillcrest Commons Area in the Administration Building of Three Rivers Hospital, located at 415 Hospital Way, Brewster, Washington, commencing at 12:00 p.m. on the date set forth above.

SEPA Exemptions. Code Amendment 2013-1. Notice of Code Amendment and public hearing is given: A legislative action has been prepared by the Okanogan County Planning Department at the direction of the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners. The action amends Okanogan County Code 14.04 “Environmental Policy” which modifies the County’s “Flexible thresholds for categorical exemptions (OCC 14.04.100)” raising the exempt levels consistent with a recent modification to Washington States SEPA Rules as they pertain to categorical exemptions (WAC 197-11-800). Categorical exemptions are a list of specific types of projects which are exempt from SEPA threshold determination and EIS requirements. Provisions of OCC 14.04 are administered within unincorporated areas of Okanogan County. For this legislative action, the SEPA Responsible Official issued a Categorical Exemption in accordance with WAC 197-11-305. Adoption of SEPA procedures is exempt from SEPA review (WAC 197-11-800 (19) and WAC 197-11-904 (5)). There is no administrative appeal period for this SEPA determination. Comments regarding this legislative action must be submitted in writing or attend the public hearing. The Okanogan County Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing on October 28, 2013 at 7pm. The hearing is located in the Virginia Grainger Commissioners Hearing Room in Okanogan, WA. Information is available at the Office of Planning and Development.
