Obit-MillerPatricia Rae (Walker) Miller of Winthrop passed away at her home on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones.

Pat was born May 7, 1941, in Twisp to Jasper and Ruth Walker. Pat graduated from Winthrop High School in 1960. She married Claude Miller on Feb. 12, 1960, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, at The Hitching Post.

Pat was the office manager at the Okanogan County Electric Co-op for 22 years. She was also the behind-the-scenes partner at North Cascades Safari for 30 years.

Pat is survived by her husband, Claude Miller; children Tyler ( Laurie) Miller, Kristy (Chris) Paul, Tricia (Kris) Labanauskas; grandchildren Ryleigh, Nicole, Zachary (Taylor), Katie, Brent, Emily, Bodie, Saleya, Josh and Wendy; five great-grandchildren; her sisters Jane Imes of Spokane and Terry Lowrance of Buckley, Wash.; and step-siblings.

Pat was preceded in death by her father Jasper Walker, mother Ruth Watson and stepfather John Watson.

Pat’s greatest joy was her family; her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a gifted painter.

A celebration of life will be held for Pat Miller at the Winthrop Barn on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. A potluck will follow the service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the medical fund for Bailey Northcott-McMonagle at P.O. Box 250 Winthrop, WA 98862.
