news-health-care-postThe Washington State Health Care Authority will send trainers on the road this month to offer free classes in how to assist applicants for an expansion in Medicaid/Apple Health that will add up to 325,000 new clients next year under the Affordable Care Act.

The one-day training sessions will include a working lunch for all attendees. The training is intended to prepare health providers, clinics, hospitals or other community-based organizations. The closest sessions to the Methow Valley are in Wenatchee on Aug. 30 and in Okanogan on Sept. 27.

Potential attendees need to register soon. Visit http://www.hca.wa.gov to get an application and email it to medicaidexpansion2014@hca.wa.gov.
