Music festival to help veterans

The Brain Festival Northwest, a three-day outdoor musical festival to benefit veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, will be at The View at Howell Canyon Estate near Tonasket on Aug. 16-18.

The festival is open to all ages and will offer music, food and camping. Bands scheduled to perform include The Bell Hours, Reborn Kingdom, Flying Mammals, Elbow Coulee and Dusty Rhodes.

Admission is $10 daily per person with free parking, or $40 per person for the weekend with parking and campsite included.
