Town of Twisp, 118 S. Glover, Twisp, WA 98856. Advertisement for Bids.
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by The Town of Twisp, until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 for construction of the 2013 Overlay Project. Bid proposals will be received by the Town Clerk at the Town of Twisp, Town Hall, 118 S. Glover Street, Twisp, WA 98856 and will then and there be opened, read, and tabulated publicly. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.
The project involves the improvement of Twisp Avenue between Magers and SR 20 and , 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Avenues between SR 20 and Glover including grinding and paving. Sections of curb and gutter and sidewalk will also be installed throughout the project. All work will be in accordance with the plans, specifications and the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. Approximate quantities include: 700 tons of hot mix asphalt, 600 tons of crushed surfacing, 150 square yards of sidewalk, and 500 LF of curb and gutter.
Time for completion of the work is limited to 25 working days.
Engineer’s estimated range for project is $200,000 to $300,000.
Contract documents may be obtained from RH2 Engineering, 300 Simon St. SE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802 upon payment of a $30 non-refundable fee. Documents can be mailed for a fee of $10.00. Checks must be made payable to the Town of Twisp. For additional information on obtaining contract documents please call (509) 886-2900 ext. 5368. An information copy of the contract documents is on file for inspection at the Town of Twisp, Town Hall, RH2 Engineering, and the following plan center: Wenatchee Plan Center, 34 North Chelan Avenue, Wenatchee, WA 98801.
Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Checks shall be made payable to The Town of Twisp. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to The Town of Twisp.
The Town of Twisp reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.
No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.

METHOW VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT REGULAR MEETING POSTPONED
The Regular meeting for the MVID has been postponed from Aug. 12, 2013 to Aug. 19, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the River Bank office in Twisp, WA. The Board of Directors will move into Executive Session at 5:00 p.m. to conduct interviews for the position of the MVID Project Coordinator for the Instream Flow Improvement Project. The Regular meeting will follow at 7:00 p.m.
The Special meeting scheduled for Aug. 26, 2013 will be held at the Senior Citizens Center in Twisp, WA at 5:00 p.m. /s/ B. Morgan

Notice of Application and Public Hearing for Pipestone Canyon Ranch Variance 2013-2
A Variance Application that has been submitted in order to deviate from provisions of the Zone Code, specifically OCC 17.19 “Planned Developments”. The applicant, George Hoksbergen, would pursue a Planned Development application for an event venue on 29.3 acres within the “Methow Review District- Uplands 20” zone district. OCC 17.19.030(a)(1) requires 40 acres for a Planned Development applications within this area.. The property is located 7 miles to the east of Twisp,WA. at 245 Upper Beaver Creek Road. The parcel is within Section 02 of Township 33 north, Range 22, Willamette Meridian, on tax parcel number #3322020029.
The hearing for the variance is scheduled for September 17, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners’ hearing room located at 123 5th Ave. North, Okanogan, WA. Town of Winthrop request for qualifications for Engineering, Environmental Review, Cultural Resource and Surveying Services.
The Town of Winthrop Washington is inviting statements of qualifications (SOQ) from consulting firms or a team of consulting firms interested in providing engineering, environmental review, cultural resource and/or survey services for general and project specific purposes, on an as as-needed basis. Example of services are as follows: Engineering services may be sought for grant application assistance; water, sewer or street project design and permitting; review of developer submittals of water, sewer, storm water, and road designs; and construction inspection. Environmental review services may be sought for the review of critical areas and mitigation reports for developments with potential to impact wetlands, aquifer recharge, habitat areas, frequently flooded areas and geologic hazard areas. Cultural resource services may be sought for survey and reporting on public works and recreation projects. Surveying services may be sought for a trail project and other general purposes.
SOQs should identify which categories of the services listed above the consultant is qualified to provide. SOQs will be reviewed and placed on file for one year, and may be used as a source from which to select one or more firms for any specific project. Selected firms or individuals must have proven ability in successfully completing similar projects, have the ability to perform project components in a timely and professional manner and be able to work cooperatively with the Town of Winthrop, funding agencies and other project participants.
