The Methow Valley Inn courtyard will become an outdoor art gallery this summer, displaying work by regional artists in an exhibit that opens Sunday (May 12).
An opening day party from noon to 5 p.m. will feature a marimba band, a wine bar, appetizers and a chance to meet the artists.
The inn’s third annual garden art show is curated by Theresa Miller and features art designed for the outdoors on display and for sale. The show continues through Sept. 7.
Participating artists include Emily Post, ceramics; Jeremy Newman and Allison Ciancibelli, blown glass; Linda and Larry McWhirter, pebble mosaics; Janie Lewis, mixed media; Dan Brown, metal sculpture; Rick Swanson, woodwork; Dan Hulphers, sculpture; Suzi Jennings, ceramics; Bruce Thompson, glass and metal fusion; Jodi Olson, papier-mâché; Dan Morgan, woodwork; and Jane Thompson, reclaimed metal assemblage.
Boxed lunches will be available for the opening reception by reservation at $12 each. Lunches include vegetarian or meat options. To reserve a box lunch call the Methow Valley Inn at 997-2253.
