Clover Thrasher and her horse, Buttons, cleared a jump at the Spokane Sport Horse Farm. They took a first place in dressage and jumping.

Seven riders, four horses and two coaches from the Methow Valley Riding Unlimited (MVRU) Equestrian Team recently participated in a schooling event in Spokane at Spokane Sport Horse Farm.

Macey Crum, 13, of Winthrop rode Sparks, 19, a Welsh/Welsh Cob cross mare owned by MVRU. She took second place in Green Division, dressage and jumping.

Hana Werntz, 7, of Twisp, rode Sparks in a Riding Intro Dressage Test.

Clover Thrasher, 11, of Twisp, rode Buttons, 23, a Percheron/TB/Appaloosa cross mare owned by MVRU. They won the Starter Division, dressage and jumping.

Cindy Mackie, of Winthrop, was on her 8-year-old Haflinger gelding, Willy. They rode a Western dressage test.

Other riders were Kierra Reichert, 15, of Winthrop, and Pippa Smith, 11, of Omak. The coaches are Annie and Tulie Budiselich of Winthrop.
