Notice of Public Hearing and Final SEPA Determination

Tim Pecha on behalf of Scott Thorndike submitted an application for a subdivision. Eight residential lots and one agricultural lot will be created on 40.54 acres. Lots range in size from approximately 0.5 acres to 35.45 acres.  Water and sewer will be provided by the City of Oroville.

Project comments must be submitted, in writing, or attend the public hearing. The Okanogan County Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing on June 14, 2018 at 1000 a.m., located in the Commissioners Hearing Room in the Virginia Grainger Administration Building at 123 5th Ave. North, Okanogan, WA 98840.

The SEPA Responsible Official issued a final environmental determination of non-significance (DNS). The final determination may be appealed by those with standing. SEPA appeals must be filed in writing and must be received, or postmarked, no later than 5:00 pm, May 23, 2018. PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSAL TO PURCHASE TAX TITLE PROPERTY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan County Treasurers Office has received a request from Tory Wulf of Cascade Holdings and Gebbers Farms to purchase four tax title properties adjoining property they currently own in accordance with RCW 36.35.150. The SEPA Responsible Official has determined this proposal is exempt from environmental review in accordance with WAC 197-11-500 (5).

The public hearing will be conducted on May 21, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan, WA. Verbal testimony will be taken with a time limit of 5 minutes per speaker. Final SEPA Determination

The SEPA Responsible Official has issued a final determination of mitigated non-significance (MDNS) on the following project.  The purpose of the proposed project is to restore the shoreline of Lake Osoyoos to comply with applicable regulations and ensure the long-term protection of the functions and values of the fish and wildlife habitat on the property. 

Project Location:

The project is at 25 Champerty Rd, parcel 4780080000, approximately 2 miles northerly of the town of Oroville, WA.  According to Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) regulations, the office of Okanogan County Planning and Development issued a final environmental Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) for this proposal. This decision may be appealed in accordance with OCC 14.04.220.  Appeals must be made in writing to the Board of Okanogan County Hearing Examiner, 123 5th Ave N Ste. 130, Okanogan, WA 98840. Appeals must be submitted or postmarked by 5:00 pm on May 23, 2018. Appeals shall state with specificity the elements of the environmental checklist and resulting determination the appellant finds objectionable and shall state the reason therefore. Appeals must include the $300.00 appeal fee.  Failure to file a timely and complete appeal shall constitute waiver of all rights to an administrative appeal under county code.
