Beverly Maughan Berrier

Beverly Maughan Berrier, 86, died on Nov. 3, 2017, at her home just outside of Dixie, Washington. A celebration of life was held at the Rebekah Lodge in Dixie on Saturday, Nov. 11. There will be a private, graveside ceremony in the spring of 2018 in Winthrop, where she will be laid to rest with her family. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Mountain Humane Society through the Herring Funeral Home in Walla Walla.

Beverly was born on Aug. 27, 1931, in Redmond, Washington, to Eleanor Meryl (Missie) Sornsen and Cyril Adamson Maughan. She attended schools in Winthrop and Okanogan as well as Edmonds Community College in Edmonds, Washington. In July of 1972 she married Richard “Dick” Berrier and moved to Walla Walla, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Beverly was a bartender for many years at the Walla Walla Country Club, eventually retiring to her home in the Blue Mountains where she loved to be and could enjoy nature.

Survivors include three daughters, Dena Lull of Wenatchee, Miki Eiffert of Twisp, and Lori (Jesse) Cannedy of California; two sons, Scott M. Lull of Waitsburg, Washington, and Richard J. Berrier (Angela) of Walla Walla; a sister, Marlene Maughan Temple, and brother, Bob Maughan both of Winthrop; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Berrier, and her brother, Jack Maughan.
