EQUALIZATION MEETING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Methow Valley Irrigation District’s Board of Directors will conduct the annual equalization meeting on Tuesday October 9, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the River Bank in Twisp, Washington. The purpose of the meeting is to equalize assessments for the 2018 irrigation season. In the event the Board concludes the business that may come before it prior to 7:00 p.m., the Regular Meeting of the MVID will immediately follow the Equalization meeting.

The assessment roll is on file in the district office for the inspection of all persons interested. Upon the day specified in this notice, the Board of Directors, constituted a Board of Equalization for that purpose, shall meet and continue in session from day to day as long as may be necessary, not to exceed ten days, exclusive of Sundays, to hear and determine such objections to said assessment roll as may come before them; and the Board may change the same as may be just.

Any member who cannot attend the meeting is encouraged to submit a letter stating his or her comments to or request of the Board on or before October 2, 2017 to the district office at PO Box 860, Twisp, WA 98856.

All lands will be fully assessed unless the parcel owner petitions the Board to hear and determine if a reduced assessment is warranted. No lands will be equalized after this date. Questions may be directed to the District Office at (509) 997-2576. /s./ Sandra Strieby.

LEGAL NOTICE

Okanogan County Fire District #6 is accepting bid proposals for installation of three propane tanks of sufficient size to run a generator at three stations ranging in size from 80 kW to 130 kW. Installation shall include an adequate supply line from the tank to the generators and connection to the generators. Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. October 9th 2017. Bid proposals will be opened at 4:00 p.m. October 9th 2017 at the District office 434 W 2nd Ave Twisp, WA. Bids may be sent to P.O. Box 895 Winthrop, WA 98862. Additional information may be obtain from the Interim Chief. Please mark bid proposals “Propane Install for Generators.”

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a public hearing will be held on October 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M., on the vacation of the following road:

The unused portion of right of way no longer needed due to the new construction of OCR 1776, Hanford Cut-off Road within Okanogan County, Washington, being the right of way no longer needed for public use. All the existing right-of-way of County Road 1776, Hanford Cut-off Road, lying beyond 30 feet on either side of the surveyed centerline of said road located within NE ¼, SE ¼, Section 35, Township 31 North, Range 24 East W.M. The surveyed centerline as is show on the official plat of this road on file in the office of the County Road Engineer and identified as O.C.R. 1776.

The unused right-of-way within the plat of Okanogan Power & Irrigation Company Ranch, Lots 14, 15 & 16, dated 1911. EXCEPTING THEREFROM an easement for existing utilities, if any, including access for the maintenance thereof;

Said hearing will be held in the hearing room of the Okanogan County Board of Commissioners, located at 123 Fifth Ave. North (Room 150), Okanogan, Washington.

THRESHOLD DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

PROPOSED CODE AMENDMENT

OCC 17A.270 NIGHTLY RENTALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan County Department of Planning & Development has proposed an ordinance amending OCC 17A.270 Nightly Rentals that if adopted would eliminate the amortization period. The ordinance if adopted would eliminate the annual permit and create a new section OCC 5.06 which would require an annual business license. All nightly rentals will be required to comply with OCC 17A.270 as amended except those nightly rentals operating legally before September 6, 2005. Records indicate there are approximately 16 legal pre-exiting nightly rentals operating in the Methow Review District.

The SEPA Responsible Official has issued a Threshold Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) regarding the revised proposal. Comments regarding the threshold determination should be submitted in writing or electronically no later than 5:00 pm, October 11, 2017. Comments should be submitted to rking@co.okanogan.wa.us or mailed or delivered to 123 5th Ave N. Suite 130, Okanogan WA 98840.

Sealed bids, plainly marked “BID FOR 2018 Stabilizer Supply”, will be received by Okanogan County at the Office of the Board of County Commissioners located in the Grainger Administrative Building, 123 5th Avenue N, Room 150, Okanogan, WA, 98840, until 10:30 AM October 10th, 2017 at which time they will be opened and publicly read. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid proposal deposit by certified check, cashier’s check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained from the Public Works Department at no charge. This contract provides for the supply of 150 Metric Tons of Magnesium Chloride hexahydrate delivered to 126 Sand Flat RD. Omak, WA 98841 in 1 Metric Ton totes or jumbo bags by flatbed truck and trailer no later than March 1st, 2018 all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions and the Standard Specifications.
