How wonderful to have fresh air again. We can open the doors and windows and hang clothes outside. We can only hope the smoke doesn’t come back.

Fall is definitely in the air, so don’t forget the winter sale on Sept. 30. There will be lots of quality coats, snowsuits, boots, hats and anything else to help with snow and cold.

A big thank you to all the hard-working firefighters out there. Their summer has been long, hot, smoky and dangerous. Bless you all and stay safe.

The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call 1-800-635-4391 for details.
