Okanogan Conservation District 2017 – Rural Business Development Feasibility Study.
The Okanogan Conservation District is requesting statements of qualifications for completing a feasibility study for USDA certified meat processing in Okanogan County funded by a grant from USDA Rural Development. A copy of the grant can be acquired at the District office during normal business hours, email request from mindy@okanogancd.org, or by calling (509) 422-0855, ext. 109. Statements of qualifications are due to the District office in person or by e-mail and must be received before 4:00 PM, August 25, 2017. Qualifications will be reviewed following the request deadline at the Okanogan Conservation District office.

Transportation Improvement Program
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing in the matter of the Okanogan County Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the years 2018 through 2023 per R.C.W. 36.81.121 will be held in the Hearing Room of the Okanogan County Board of Commissioners at 123 Fifth Avenue North in Okanogan, Washington at 10:30 A.M. on August 22, 2017. The purpose of this hearing is to discuss County Road construction projects only. Road Maintenance issues will not be addressed at this hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
WHEELED ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES
The Okanogan Board of County Commissioners has scheduled a public meeting to gather information regarding the drafting of a proposal to open some county roads in Commissioner District #3 with a speed limit of 35mph or less to the use of WATV’s as defined in RCW 46.09.455. There will be a brief presentation and then a question and answer period. The information gathered will be used to draft a proposal that will be put out for formal public review. The meeting is scheduled for August 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building at 123 5th Ave N in Okanogan, WA. NOTICE
PROPOSED TITLE III PROJECTS
Notice is hereby given that up to $90,000 is available to Okanogan County from Title III funds. The county and applicable agencies may use the funds in accordance with the authorized uses as set out in Public Law (524 of P.L. 114-10). Applicable agencies may submit proposals, which describe activity to be performed on Federal Forest Land that qualify under the Act for consideration. Title III Project Submission Forms are available by contacting Lanie Johns, Clerk of the Board for Okanogan County at 509-422-7105 or by email ljohns@co.okanogan.wa.us.
County projects may include activities on Federal Forest Land to carry out Firewise Community Programs that provide education to homeowners in fire-sensitive ecosystems and assistance with implementing firewise techniques for home landscaping that increases the protection of people and property from wildfire, and for costs of Search and Rescue services performed on Federal Forest Land as required by the Act.
Notice is further given that the proposals will be considered for obligation at a public meeting held by the Board of County Commissioners on September 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room located 123 5th Avenue North, Rm 150, Okanogan, WA 98840.
Mail proposals and comments to: Okanogan County Commissioners, Attn: Lanie Johns, 123 5th Avenue North, Rm 150, Okanogan, WA 98840 no later than September 8, 2017. Or hand deliver proposals by September 15, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. to the above address. The allocation of funding for county projects is open for public comment for a period of 45 days from the date of this notice.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan County Office of Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing on August 24, 2017 to take public testimony regarding the proposed use of permit exempt well(s) as defined in RCW 90.44.050 to provide potable water for the subdivision of 4.11 acres into 2 parcels located on Spectacle Lake at 28 Holmes Rd, Section 11, Township 38, Range 26, Willamette Meridian in WRIA 49 parcel #3826110063.
Applicant plans on submitting a Boundary Line Adjustment to convey approximately .65 acres to an adjacent land owner then subdividing the remaining 3.65 acres into two parcels. The applicant proposes to use an existing well to provide potable water to the project.
The public hearing regarding water availability will be conducted on August 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan, WA. Applicant plans on a subdivision application taking their 3 acre parcel and turning it into two lots, one lot will be 1 acre, the second lot will be 2 acres. The applicant proposes to drill a new well on the 2 acre lot where there is already an existing well, ending with two wells on the two acre parcel.
