Susie Stephen’s Trail Phase 2

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Winthrop at Winthrop Town Hall located at 206 Riverside Avenue, PO Box 459, Winthrop, Washington, 98862 until 2:00 PM on July 26, 2017 and there publicly opened and read.

The Town of Winthrop’s Susie Stephen’s Trail Phase 2 improvements consists of trail and street crossing construction. Improvements include demolition, tree removal, grading, surfacing, drainage, HMA paving, erosion control, rock retaining wall, ADA detectable surface retrofit, pavement markings, signing, traffic control and other work as detailed and in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.

Insert the eBidDoc #5252258 to download the digital documents for $10.00.  Plans, specifications, and bid documents are also available at the office of SCJ Alliance, in Wenatchee at 25 North Wenatchee Avenue, Suite 238, Wenatchee, WA 98801 upon payment of $60.00. Contract documents are on file for inspection at area Plan Centers and at the Town of Winthrop Town Hall.

A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany all bids.  All bids shall be marked “SEALED BID FOR Susie Stephen’s Trail Phase 2”, on the outside of the envelope.

Bids must be completed on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the BID PROPOSAL, and the total price shall be used for comparison of bids. The Town of Winthrop reserves the right to reject any or all bids for cause. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington.

Time for completion of the work is limited to 35 working days.

Engineer’s estimated range for this project is $200,000 to $250,000.

No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.

Notice is hereby given that the Three Rivers Hospital Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Thursday, July 13, 2017, for the purposes of voting on action items from the June 22, 2017 regular meeting and discussing a voted bond for building improvements.  The meeting will take place in the McKinley Building Conference Room, 507 Hospital Way, Brewster WA, commencing at 3 p.m. on the date set forth above.

Notice of Public Hearing

LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT #1 BALLOT PROPOSAL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on July 31, 2017 to take public testimony regarding a resolution stating the intent to form a Lake Management District on Lake Osoyoos in accordance with RCW 36.61. If the Board decides to move ahead with the formation of the district, a mailed ballot will be issued for the property owners within the proposed district boundaries to determine if the district should be formed.  The public hearing will review the boundaries of the district as proposed and the assessments to be collected on an annual basis. The proposed district boundary includes property in the vicinity of Lake Osoyoos.  If approved by a simple majority of the property owners, the district will conduct control measures for milfoil and other invasive species for 5 years at which time the district will dissolve.  An annual assessment of $160 per parcel on all primary properties in the district and $70.00 on all secondary properties in the district will be collected every year for 5 years. Total collections in 5 years will be approximately $180,000.00.

The SEPA Responsible Official has determined this proposal is categorically exempt from environmental review in accordance with WAC 197-11-800 (16).

The public hearing will be conducted on July 31, 2017 at 4:00 in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Grainger Building in Okanogan, Wa. Verbal testimony will be taken with a time limit of 5 minutes per speaker. Written comments may be submitted at the hearing.  Written comments will be accepted prior to the hearing and may be submitted in writing or electronically to Lalena Johns, Clerk of the Board, at 123 5th Ave N Ste 150, Okanogan, WA 98840 or at ljohns@co.okanogan.wa.us.   

Dates of publishing are July 12, 2017 and July 19, 2017.
