A Primary Election will be held in the below mentioned districts for the purpose of submitting to the voters for their approval or rejection the following.

State Senator District 7, State Representative District 7 Position 1, Hospital District No. 4, Commissioner District 4 At Large, City of Omak – Sales and use Tax Levy within the City of Omak, Okanogan School District No. 105 – Education, Security and Safety Capital Projects Levy, Tonasket School District No. 404, Director District 2, Tonasket School District No. 404, Director District 4.

The registration deadline for online registrations, mail-in registrations and transfers is July 3, 2017.  Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up to and including July 24, 2017.

You can register or obtain registration forms at the Auditor’s Office, on line at www.vote.wa.gov, and Department of Licensing.

Notice of Public Hearing Application for water availability

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan County Office of Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing on July 13, 2017 to take public testimony regarding the proposed use of permit exempt well(s) as defined in RCW 90.44.050 to provide potable water for the subdivision of 16.39 acres into 4 parcels located on Hubbard Road 2.5 miles north of Riverside in Section 11, Township 35N, Range 26E, Willamette Meridian in WRIA 49 parcel #3526110022.

The Planning Department has reviewed one application for water availability in anticipation of building single family residences at the above listed locations and has determined that the proposed use of a permit exempt well in accordance with RCW 90.44.050 will provide a legal and physically available supply of potable water.

This decision will not be final until July 11, 2017. Anyone with standing who desires a public hearing be held on this application to determine water availability must submit a written request by the deadline listed above. The request must state the basis upon which the request is made which must include a statement that the requesters lawful use of water from a senior source will be impaired if the decision stands.

Any request for public hearing must be directed to the Director of Planning at the above listed address and received prior to 5:00 p.m. on July 11, 2017.

Notice of Application and Threshold SEPA Determination

CUP 2017-5 Big Daddy Purp Corp & Pam’s Plants LLC

Notice is hereby given that an application has been submitted by David M. Otto and John E. Otto on behalf of Big Daddy Purp Corp & Pam’s Plants to permit a tier 2 and a tier 3 marijuana outdoor production operation in accordance with Okanogan County Code 17A.220.010. The CUP, if approved, would allow a Tier 2 outdoor production with 180 feet by 150 feet fenced area totaling 1.5 acres for 400 marijuana plants, and a 10’x44’ mobile unit and a Tier 3 outdoor production with 200 feet by 300 feet fenced area totaling 2.5 acres for 1200 marijuana plants, and a 12’ x 60’ mobile unit.  Water will be provided by the Aeneas Lake Irrigation District. The marijuana productions will operate May through November from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The site is located at 1815 Pine Creek Road Tonasket, WA 98855 approximately 3 miles North East of Tonasket, WA on tax parcel number 3726360022. According to Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) regulations, the office of Okanogan County Planning and Development issued a threshold environmental Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) for this proposal. The public hearing for this project has not yet been set. The public is welcome to comment on this project. Project comments may be submitted in writing up to the hearing or be presented at the hearing. SEPA comments must be submitted in writing by 5:00 pm July 6, 2017 to afford the commenter standing.
